Repairing a leaking faucet is one of the do it yourself things you can accomplish at home. First, you need to find out the source of the problem, after determining the affected handle, turn off water that flows to the faucet. If you have a water flow sensor, you will be able to use that to not only find that you have a leak, but also to ensure that you have in fact turned off the water that flows to the faucet. The other thing you need to do is to plug the drain to restrict water from flowing out.
After removing the handle, a wrench can come in handy when removing the nut and this is followed by the stem and the seat washer respectively. Notably, all you may need to do is to replace the seat washer, assemble everything back up and the faucet will be fixed.
