To start, power wash your concrete floor and use a concrete cleaner. If there are any cracks, fill them using a concrete crack seal. Rinse well and let dry completely.

2. Paint

Start painting the concrete floor with the primer. Let it dry for at least four hours. Once completely dry, you can start applying the first coat of paint using a paint roller. Apply the second coat of paint after.

3. Stencil

Figure out where to place your stencil design making sure it’s on a straight line. Secure the stencil using painter’s tape.

When painting a stencil design, you don’t want excess paint to run under. To avoid this, dip the stencil brush in white paint and lightly dab it on a paper towel before lightly dabbing it back into the stencil.

Using a small paintbrush, go over the edges of the design for finishing touches.

4. Seal

To make your stencil design last longer, apply 2 coats of clear concrete sealer. Let dry completely.

There you have it! Following the simple steps will give your porch or patio a fresh new look. There are many easy DIY projects you can do to your porch. You can start by making your porch or patio more private and even create a shiplap accent wall outside.
